Thousands of years after humanity expanded into deep space, Kenji Tanaka only enlisted in the military to make a living. But when his rare telepathic abilities and exceptional aptitude for piloting humanoid Combat Suits were discovered, he was rapidly saddled with the rank of Senior Colonel in the Pan-Cosmic Republic Space Force's Special Service Unit, spending his days yearning for early retirement while doing the corrupt brass's dirty work. On his return from putting down yet another planetary rebellion, Kenji's ship is swallowed whole by an emergent black hole. Instead of dying, he awakens in a world of swords and sorcery inside the body of El-All, the young heir to the Gluck family, the lowest-ranking rural squires in the realm. In this new world, humanoid magical warframes known as "Magicrystal Armors" and their supreme variants, "Magicrystal Deities," dominate the battlefield, piloted almost exclusively by ruling nobles. Believing from experience that getting involved with high command never ends well.
